At the XLR8 Epic Fall Camp, your racer will receive more training and individual coaching time at this camp than they will during an entire typical High School season.

Why Loveland Ski Resort and Rocky Mountain Village:
Loveland Ski Resort offers great skiing terrain and smaller crowds on its public slopes. As we enter our second decade of holding XLR8’s Fall Camp at Loveland, we have a fantastic working relationship with the resort, and its incredibly friendly and accommodating management and employees. The Loveland Race Center is a favorite training venue for World Cup Skiers around the world, including Mikaela Shiffrin. The Loveland Ski Club training venue year after year consistently offers the BEST early season training conditions available in the Rockies. It is the only venue that offers the option of renting an entire run, tree line to tree line with private lift service for race training!
Easter Seals Rocky Mountain Village: Nestled into the incredibly beautiful Rocky Mountain is less than a 30 min drive from the Loveland ski resort. They offer two comfortable private lodges with rooms that sleep 4 – 8 racers. We have our own living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and study areas. The food is home-style, delicious, and nutritious, prepared by the Rocky Mountain Village Chef and Dietitian, who accommodates special dietary needs. No peanut butter and jelly lunches or cheap pizza here! The Best Ski Camp Food Period!

WHO IS CAMP FOR?
(IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ)
We generally have approximately 80% high school racers and 20% younger racers. Due to the terrain, advanced skiing skills are required.
Racers will not only become better skiers and racers in these 5 amazing days, but they will also be in one of the most beautiful places on earth sharing this adventure with their friends and teammates.
When we are training at the Loveland Ski Club Training Center, we will be in the middle of a professional, World Class Training Venue for ski racers and coaches only. We will have one coach for every four athletes to insure a safe, fun and productive experience of a lifetime!
When we are not skiing in race lanes, we will be working on our mechanics and focused on race training. There will be no tree skiing, free jumping or terrain parks. Our racers will be with their coaches constantly when we are on the mountain.
On and off the mountain, our Coaches will be looking out for the safety and well-being of every young person in our care 24 hours a day. Your child’s safety is our primary concern. We cannot begin to tell you how seriously we take this responsibility. All racers will be issued a lanyard with a Camp ID badge to worn at all times.
It is common for mature racers as young as 9 and 10 years old to attend race camp. Many times, parents are amazed by the personal growth that can occur given a little independence within this very structured setting. That said, XLR8’s Fall Camp is for racers who have reached a level of maturity that allows them to be relatively self-sufficient under non-emergency situations.
Children who are not capable and/or willing to take care of their most basic responsibilities, take away from the overall experience of the group and can potentially endanger other team members. If a coach must help a child with their basic responsibilities, that coach will be unable to give the appropriate attention to the other three racers in his or her charge. If you believe your young racer can live up to these responsibilities, then they are a good candidate for XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp.
Our athletes will be expected to conduct themselves as young men and woman, be respectful to all people we interact with, follow the rules of race camp, be on time for all camp activities, and to lend a hand in all activities as a team member.All racers who are accepted to XLR8’s Epic Fall Camp will be responsible for their own belongings and equipment.
