XLR8 Alpine Racing has a proven track record of developing young skiers into top state and national racers. We have a balanced focus on technical skiing technique and course tactics. This develops strong, technically correct skiers who know how to negotiate the course for their fastest runs. During our positive, high-energy training sessions, athletes are grouped by ability to keep our racers engaged, motivated and having fun. During all our Club activities, we promote our XLR8 values of sportsmanship, team/family, integrity, and work ethic, i.e., “focus plus effort equals reward.” Our positive coaching approach leads to strong character, increases self-esteem, and instills confidence on and off the hill.

ALL New XLR8 Team Members are required to go through a try-out.

Our Minimum racer age is 8 years old and racers must pass our minimum skill level requirements:  skiing and turning in a parallel ski position, proper use of poles, being able to ride the chair without an adult, and the ability to maintain a reasonable focus level for our three hour training sections while keeping a positive XLR8 attitude. If a racer registers for our program and based on their tryout, we feel that they may be better served by a little more time in ski school, the XLR8 membership fee would be refunded.
