Intermediate / advanced skiers

Junior Development Team Program

JDT PROGRAM athletes will learn Giant Slalom and Slalom ski racing technique.  Training will have a balanced  focus on technical skiing technique and course tactics.  Skiers are grouped by ability to keep our racers engaged, motivated and having fun.   

                                                  ALL NEW SKIERS TO THE XLR8 PROGRAM ARE REQUIRED TO GO THROUGH TRY-OUTS

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS –  Skiing and turning in a parallel ski position, proper use of poles, being able to ride the chair without an adult, and the ability to maintain a reasonable focus level for our  three hour training sections while keeping a positive XLR8 attitude. XLR8 JDT Try-out will be held Jan. 6th 9am-12:00pm  

In order to ensure our athletes receive the best training possible, we must limit the number of racers in the program.

Comp Team Program

COMP TEAM Program provides 5 training sessions a week for a total of 12 hours on snow with result driven coaching for racers seeking to reach the next level of ski racing: USSA Rocky Central Championships, High School State Finals,  NASTAR Nationals .  COMP TEAM athletes will train in Giant Slalom, Slalom  and Super G alpine disciplines.  Skiers are grouped by ability and will be training with the latest drills and techniques.

In order to ensure our athletes receive the best training possible, we must limit the number of racers in the program.

Ages 13-18

Intermediate / advanced skiers

High school Program

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM provides result driven coaching for high school racers seeking to reach the next level of ski racing. We training Saturday and Sunday from 9am-noon.  6 HOURS of  XLR8 Weekend Training is more training time then most  racers receive in a week with their High School team. With this additional training time, athletes will see serious improvement. XLR8 COMP Team athletes will train in Giant Slalom, Slalom and Super G alpine disciplines.  Skiers are grouped by ability and ski with the same professional coaches throughout the season for consistency and individual attention.

Adult Program

Adult Program is a great opportunity for adult skiers that would like to hone their ski racing skills.  Designed for beginner, intermediate and experienced racers, the Adult Race Program leverages the proven U.S. Ski & Snowboard framework of on-hill drills and gate training in a manner that will help you achieve new levels of success.
